Bob and Johnie Terry of Azle, Texas really put on a fine show on September 20, 2008. Many of the top dealers in the world were there with some of the names you have seen on this website like Judy and Don Sinkular, Rich Hall, Jamie Linford, Ed Manes, Chuck Quinn and a host of others. Plenty of food, plenty of live music and plenty of friends.

Here's the kind of fun I am talking about. Meeting old friends and new friends. New for me—old for them. I am honored to even know people like this.

On our left is Rich Hall (of Indiana), then Chuck Quinn (of California), then Jamie Linford (of Michigan). Their collections (part of them) appear on this website.

Ed Manes

Judy and Don Sinkular of I SELL NEAT STUFF and other enterprises. They had a lot of neat stuff! Now all I have to do is win the lottery.

I kept waiting for this fellow to start the music, but finally walked away disappointed.

So many toys, so little time.

This antique model was very large. (read: HUGE)

Toys and more toys!

There were a lot of BB Guns, as they are quite popular.

Maybe this will give you an idea of HOW MANY CAP GUNS there were. This is not even the guy's exhibit. This is a big tool box that is crammed with more valuable Cap Guns! He had a few hundred on his tables.

There were lots of tables with thousands of Cap Guns. For some dumb reason I can't explain, I forgot to take any photos of the entertainment, but it was TOP NOTCH and my can that Terry Family sing! And play. "Take it Chance!!!!!" (and he would) They had a girl there, couldn't have been more than 22 who played the fiddle and when I casually remarked to Johnie, "My she's good," Johnie said that yes she was and she had the trophies to prove it. As in best country fiddler in a world contest and such. What do I know?

I told you the entertainment was good. These ladies just sat there the whole time, enjoying the show. These dolls were each about 3 feet tall, if stood up. Serious quality!

Nice cake. Hey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What's the big idea of putting Mike Nichols' picture on the cake? Actually that is from Uncle Talley's book and some ads, but the original was of me and this is a cartoon of that original photo. But it's still me, back when I was young and dashing. Now I am simply "ing" as in "aging."

There were very few lulls in the activity, but here we see one! He really had some neat stuff. I think his helpers are in the back room eating the BBQ.

I told you I was sitting next to James Drury! We don't sell Cap Guns, so we mostly met the public and sold some T-Shirts. I'm the one that looks like he has a growth sticking out of his belly. My Canon 20D. The one on my left is my lovely wife, Carol.

Mr. Drury is about the nicest guy you would hope to meet. He is holding a Colt 45 that came from the studio and is just for faking, I mean making movies. It actually looks very much like a Fanner 50. The guy with the triple chin is me. That's my wife, Carol, shaking his hand. I think he smiled the same way every time. A customer posed with him and got the same good results and said to him, "I bet you've done this before." To which James said, "Many times." And he said it like he meant BAZILLIONS OF TIMES!!! But even after that, he still a nice guy. This photo thanks to Edwin and Bob.

The Bob and Johnie Terry Band. I never saw a blue bass fiddle before, and now I can die happy! Take it Chance!!! (on left)

I hope we see all of you there next year, as it was a blast. Many thanks for the Terry Family and supporters for a fine show. Be sure to click on his business card on the Dealers Page and visit their website. They have hundreds of fine toys and a great music store in Azle.
