Here is a Leslie Henry Roy Rogers Cap Gun.
This one is gold plated and is not a smoker.
Here is the same gun (in this case TWO!), but these are the chrome plated versions.

Here is a super Leslie-Henry Roy Rogers 49er Cap Gun. This one is from the 1950-1955 era and as we can see, comes with an excellent blue box. You will notice that this box is sealed in plastic for protection. It is probably filled with foam also, to hold its shape. Good idea!

Right Side Here is a Cap Gun from the 1950-1960 era.

This one has the long-ribbed barrel and a fully-engraved frame. The grips say, "And Trigger."

Here's another "Shoot'n Iron" box that would have come with this particular version of the Cap Gun. You will notice that it says, "Manufactured by George Schmidt Manufacturing, Inc. • Los Angeles, California."

Roy Rogers by George Schmidt (Dummy Version)
Right Side Here is a Cap Gun from the 1950-1960 era, but the dummy version. The dummy version is one that WOULDN'T fire caps!

All you have to do is to take a look at the hammer on thie "Cap Gun" and you will notice that it is different from others. This one is in MINT shape!

Kilgore Roy Rogers Shooting Iron w/ Box
Here's a very nice MINT "SHOOTIN' IRON" Cap Gun by Kilgore that is still in the box. One like this is extremely valuable. It has a revolving cylinder and nice engraving. Notice Trigger on the grips.
